OpenStreetMap (OSM) provides global geographic data as open source. However, this data is typically published at the country level in large .osm.pbf files. For those working on a specific city, these files can contain excessive information and add unnecessary processing overhead.

On this platform, country-level OSM data is refined to the city level using administrative boundaries also obtained from OSM. The resulting city-specific .osm.pbf files are then converted to .osm format using open-source tools. In the final step, the data is processed into .net.xml and .poly files, which can be directly used by SUMO (Simulation of Urban MObility) — an open-source traffic simulation software.

The goal is to provide clean, fast, and accessible datasets for those working on city-scale traffic simulations. Without dealing with large national datasets, users can directly download the data they need and integrate it into their projects with ease.
